  Electronic cards that play songs and/or light up cannot be recycled or even thrown in the trash in California. Instead, they create massive amounts of completely unnecessary toxic e-waste.

• Keep Frankenfish Off Our Dinner Plates!

  This week, a California State Assembly committee will vote on a bill (AB 88) to require labeling of genetically modified (GMO) fish. In response to the potential FDA approval of GMO salmon, California must take this opportunity to protect state consumers' right to know what is in our food.

  California must take the lead. Urge your Assembly Member to say "YES" to labels on GMO fish.

  Today is a National Call-In Day for Safer Chemicals, organized by CEH and our coalition partners. By calling your Senator today, you have the exciting opportunity to add to the nationwide support for safer chemicals.

  Parents, doctors, teachers, nurses and others who care about their families’ health are calling their Senators to ask them to put common sense limits on toxic chemicals. This holiday season, we want Congress to give us the gift of common sense limits on toxic chemicals.

  Call your Senator and urge him or her to support the Safe Chemicals Act of 2011.
